What is Welcoming?

“Our entire religious tradition would be completely different if it were not for an act of
radical welcome. Judiasm, Christianity, Islam as we know them today all spring from a single seed planted long ago near Hebron in Judea in the heat of the midday sun, where Abraham met God.

Sacred Welcoming, where we can meet God, is an inner and an outer practice. It
includes welcoming and responding to the needs of others as well as welcoming our
own inner experiences. In this meeting we will explore the centrality of welcoming in our
tradition and some practices that support inner and outer welcoming.”

Join us in the parlor as we meet with Catherine Crews as she talks about how we can be welcoming to others. We gather at 5:30 pm and program starts at 6pm.
