Servant Leadership School of Conway presents, Practicing Self Compassion–Transforming Stress
August 5, 2017
9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Morgan House at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church
Amanda Moore, D.Min.
Instead of mercilessly judging and criticizing ourselves for our shortcomings, we can be kind and understanding – whoever said we were supposed to be perfect? Having compassion for ourselves means that we honor and accept our humanness. The more we open our heart to this reality, the more we will be able to feel compassion for ourselves and our fellow humans.
In this interactive workshop we will experience Divine silence that can offer peace and joy, engage in small group work to exercise our self-compassion skills, reflect upon “real-world” tips to practice self-compassion in our daily lives, and invite ourselves to have compassion for ourselves and all living beings.
Suggested donation $25

MOPS (Mother’s Of Pre Schoolers) is about to start up meetings again here at All Saint’s! We meet on the second Mondays of each month September through May here from 9-11AM.
Once again we are reaching out to the All Saint’s congregation for volunteer help. Unfortunately we lost a couple of great volunteers from last year because of new adventures, and now we are seeking out more volunteers to bless our group. We aren’t asking you to come every month, unless you want to, but even if you could help with a couple certain months we would appreciate it.
Here is what volunteering for MOPS looks like, we provide coffee and the kids and you get to snuggle and play with little ones who love attention! If you think this sounds like something you’d enjoy, please get a hold of Kayleigh Whisler the MOPS coordinator (402) 984-2008
We have enjoyed lovely tomatoes from the Hudson’s garden! Thanks to all whose generosity helps us serve delicious, nutritious meals every Saturday. We continue to welcome newcomers to Neighbors Table nearly every week. Please remember Neighbors Table in your prayers.
To serve on a Saturday morning, call or text Catherine, 264-4346, or sign up on the white boards. If you would like to serve in other ways, or have questions, call or text Catherine.
