Sunday School Planning
Thanks to all who turned out for our kids’ Sunday School planning meeting last Sunday.  We are well on our way to putting together an exciting year and still have room for adults who want to get involved!  Those who have volunteered so far are Casey Anderson, Ricki Duffee, Rhonda Hlass, Carol Lee, Sherrie Cotton, Kimby Tackett, Stan Lombardo, Juanita Judd, Travis Simpson, David Eshelman and Julie Hodges. We need additional teachers, particularly for the 3-5-year-old group, and substitutes for each group that could support 1 or 2 Sundays per month, Contact Stan Lombardo, Kimby Tackett or Sherrie Cotton for more information.
The labyrinth in Sutherland Hall will be open the first and third Thursday of each month from 6:00-8:00 in the evening. Labyrinth walks are a powerful tool for prayer, meditation, and reflection. Erin Clair will serve as the guide for these walks. Feel free to contact her with questions at eclair@atu.edu.

Servant Leadership School of Conway presents, Practicing Self Compassion–Transforming Stress
August 5, 2017
9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Morgan House at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church
Conway, AR
Amanda Moore, D.Min.
Instead of mercilessly judging and criticizing ourselves for our shortcomings, we can be kind and understanding – whoever said we were supposed to be perfect? Having compassion for ourselves means that we honor and accept our humanness.  The more we open our heart to this reality, the more we will be able to feel compassion for ourselves and our fellow humans.
In this interactive workshop we will experience Divine silence that can offer peace and joy, engage in small group work to exercise our self-compassion skills, reflect upon “real-world” tips to practice self-compassion in our daily lives, and invite ourselves to have compassion for ourselves and all living beings.
